Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training

This course teaches responders how to correctly assist a person suffering an anaphylactic or asthmatic attack. Students will also be taught how to correctly assess triggers, signs and symptoms of an asthmatic or anaphyatic attack.

The Asthma and Anaphlaxis  Course will cover the following in an childhood education and care setting:

  • What is anaphylaxis and what are the triggers
  • What are the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis
  • How can you cut the risk of this in the workplace
  • Risk assessments
  • Practical use of all 3 auto injector devices
  • What is asthma and what are the triggers
  • What are the signs and symptoms of asthma
  • How can you cut the risk of this in the workplace
  • Risk assessments and how they work
  • Practical use of asthma puffer and spacer
  • Role play for asthma and an anaphylactic reaction
